His
Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, Prince
of Eastern Region patronizes on Saturday and Sunday (25 and February 26, 2017) the second investment
opportunities forum in Qatif, which is organized by Asharqia Chamber in King
Abdullah national Hall in Qaddih with the participation of a number of experts
and specialists, businessmen and government officials from
the Kingdom and the Gulf.
Chairman of Asharqia
Chamber Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al Ataishan, added that this forum is an
extension of the first edition of the forum, which was held in February last
year, and achieved positive results, by shedding light
on many issues and topics related to investing in Qatif and
a number of fields that can be
transformed to more valuable opportunities for the national economy.
He
pointed that the current Forum which will be held next month will discuss a number
of topics, discussing the reality and the future of investment in the province
of Qatif in several fields, most prominently : (information technology, alternative
energy, tourism, heritage and conferences), it will also discuss issues related
to companies social responsibility and
economic empowerment of women, explaining that the scientific Committee in
charged of the organization of the forum has allocated the first day of the
forum for a number of related workshops to invest in Qatif dealing with the topics
of (business pioneering, human
resources, and business development).
Ataishan
hoped that this forum will be supportive of economic progress witnessed by the
eastern region in various provinces, including Qatif, stressing that Asharqia Chamber represented by the administrative
council and the general secretariat pay careful attention to its participants in
its branches in (Jubail, Khafji and Qatif), and it believes that this forum is a good chance to discuss the reality and future
prospects, and that the results will be positive to the investor and the
citizen in the province and in the eastern region in general, considering
what Qatif posses of fields of work and
new investment.
For
his part, head of the of the business council in Qatif branch and member of the
board of directors of the Chamber Abdul Muhsen AlFaraj said that the forum in
its second year, will include a number of important events, which will
contribute to the development of the economic activity in the province of
Qatif, praising the interaction of businessmen in the province with the idea of
the Forum .
He
pointed that the strategic location of the province of Qatif between Dammam and
what it represents as an economic value and Jubail which the center of industry
in the region enhances the value of the province, and contributes to enhance the available investment opportunities
to support the development of our choices in the different levels of commercial
and industrial services.
